In 2008, the foundation was formed and named Ilaje Movement for Educational
Improvement (IMEI), a non-governmental organisation which is not politically
motivated to deal with the deteriorating condition of education in the Niger-Delta
area particularly Ilaje Local Government, Ondo State and its environs. Considering
the positive impact on the youth and the impressive performance recorded from 2008
till date as well as the extension of the programme beyond Ilaje Local Government,
the name was changed in 2011 to MOSES IPENTAN EDUCATIONAL FOUNDATION (MIEF) duly
registered, in memory of my late father, for his passion for education. Although
he did not have opportunity to be educated, he did everything within his power to
give his children sound education.
The founder of the Foundation, Felix Mobolorunduro Ipentan realizes that success
is not how much wealth a person acquires but how much he has used the God-given
talents in him or her to elevate others.
The foundation discovered that the people of the Niger-Delta are naturally
intelligent and brilliant but require a more pragmatic approach to education
to bring out the latent potentials of intelligence and brilliance in them.
It is a burning desire of the Foundation to transform the lives of Niger Delta
people by adding value to the educational system in complementing government
developmental efforts.
Promote secondary education through an innovative free holiday coaching classes, scholarship programme and add value to the educational system in Nigeria.
To improve the present declining state of the educational standard in the Niger-Delta and the country at large.
To nurture our youths to become reliable leaders who will handle the future of African countries with the fear of God.
To prepare our youths in terms of Human Capital development for future opportunities.
To pay necessary attention to education and development of skills as no society could move forward without qualitative education for the youth.
To ensure that the Niger Delta in particular and the country at large attain economic and industrial development through the contributions of individuals, corporate bodies and various government intervention agencies to the growth of education.
To use our resources to add value to educational development in Ilaje being a peculiar area that requires special solution.
To imbibe in our children (students) confidence, self-determination and attitudinal change towards life that success depends on hard work.
